“Am I a suspect?” – Michael Westen

Only after a short few episodes did Max prove to be a good voice in Michael’s head and I was just starting to get to know him. But his

Getting rid of the murder weapon

death opened a whole new chapter in Mike’s life which requires him to sniff and search every corner (not for who burned him) but who tried to frame him. Finding this killer/framer is the only thing that might save Michael and avenge Max. Michael isn’t the only one who shares this mission as CIA operative Kim Pearce (played by Lauren Stamile) enters the picture requesting all the necessary details of Max’s murder and the killer’s escape. Michael pretends to be the killer and gives away some of his actual movements when he was there with Max. Kim, unaware that he was there, reveals that she’s his agency contact replacement and more or less relates herself to a pitbull who can be cunning and a bit of a determined biter sometimes. How nice…

The CIA’s bustling investigation clearly wasn’t enough to avoid taking on the problematic client. Matt Lauria guest stared as “Ethan” who apparently has Michael Westen similarities. Being an ex-special forces army sniper, Ethan broke Mike’s highest score in one his own games and even showed off his barely-trained skill of being undercover.

Hot-headed Ethan wanted serious revenge on the men who hospitalized his sister, Heather. His devotion and anger compelled him to be on every shift and on every step of putting the man responsible behind bars which changed from 6 ft under at first. The first step — finding “Brandon”, the scumbag that dated Heather who Ethan accuses of the beating. So, both Mike and Ethan nab Brandon at his car and question his involvement in the assault.

Meanwhile in the CIA life, Mike snoops into the diligent investigation and discreetly persuades Kim to authorize his digging into any cell phone activity around Max’s office. Jesse gets a hold of where a call was placed moments after Max had been killed and Jesse and Fiona pose as dirty cops to acquire security tapes at that location.

Brandon swore he didn’t touch Heather, but it wasn’t enough to keep him from being slapped onto the floor. After Ethan left, Brandon disclosed that a guy named Brad Ramsey beat Heather. The real scumbag became Ramsey, Brandon’s boss who ran a medical insurance scam. It was partially Brandon’s fault because he skimmed some of Ramsey’s money to buy Heather “something nice”. Ramsey found out and Brandon ran when he beat Ethan’s sister.

So, the whole team and Ethan go under cover to acquire all the dirty details of his operation. They give him a Porsche (well Jesse’s Porsche) and an awesome gold-bugged watch. Upon hearing Ramsey’s conversation with his guys, he implied that he would finish Ethan’s sister off if she recovered, which was also a loose end if Ramsey decided to join the team’s fake business. Knowing this, Ethan furiously goes after Ramsey and sets up ammo at a perch ready to shoot at Ramsey and finish him. Fiona and Jesse intervene and shoots at Ramsey first to make him escape.

Now, Ramsey is spooked and Mike and Ethan convince him that his guys are the ones trying to kill him. Wanting to avoid being killed, Ramsey believes everything they tell him and wants to tie up any loose ends. Ramsey gives all his information to the team and torches his house so that nothing “connects back to him” . Ethan’s sister was another loose end in Ramsey’s head in which both Mike and Ethan instructed him to take care of it.

Moments later, Ramsey goes to hospital and attempts to kill Ethan’s sister when the police intervenes and arrests him. While being dragged down the hall, Ramsey sees Ethan in a white coat and shouts that he set him up which only makes him get dragged faster.

After Madeline had reviewed the security tapes, she found a shocking similarity in what looked like Michael on the last tape. Who posed as Michael Westen?? Tune in for “Enemy of the Enemy” airing 7/28 on USA Network .
