The Man Who Burned Michael!

The Mad Bulldog!

It seems like after one enemy dies another uproots from the woodwork rather quickly. I’m referring to the death and hopefully permanent disappearance of Larry (who knows) and the magic appearance of the man behind the burn notice. Nevertheless, this was only a small portion of the entire finale. We had to first see what would happen to Michael from Agent Pierce’s harsh findings which made Michael the projected “criminal” in her eyes. From the start, Sam and Jesse decided to pull a fabulous stunt involving Fiona’s lovely car. They intervened the CIA convoy by using the handbrake which spun everyone to the curb. Immediately following were suits and sunglasses exiting their vehicles to draw their weapons at Sam and Jesse. Agent Pierce was one who’s face read of much frustration and rage. They tried to explain to her that the “real killer” (Tavien Khorza) was at Brickell Key ready to meet Michael. Mike even broke hold of the suits to convince Agent Pierce to track Tavien down. Though frustrated, she gave him a chance and Mike convinced her to put a mic on him so that they hear Tavien’s short confession. He jumped off the elevated parking lot where they met once Michael revealed the mic that they put on him. A surprising twist in my opinion, but we’ve seen this a few times before with Michael’s parasites.

The most interesting twist was the never-ending return of Larry who wanted Michael for a freelance job after breaking out of prison. This time, Larry wasn’t all that inviting like the last few times. It was almost strictly business but Larry convinced Michael by a “kidnapee” (hostage) who put up an excellent act for the start. The hostage had a wife who Larry used as leverage for Michael to help him. Mike gave the hostage a knife to cut through the trunk when Larry put him in so that he could go to Sam. So Sam and Fiona caught on that Larry was back and went to his house only to find that it had destroyed by an explosion. The hostage pretentiously showed that he cared for whoever that was in that house when Sam withheld him from going to it. Fiona found where Larry and Mike were and setup shop to shoot Larry. She fired a couple rounds to the bulletproof glass which amused Larry momentarily. Then she took out a detonator in which Larry then found the C4 at the edge of the window. A raging explosion filled the floor first then the entire building went off which Fiona couldn’t believe happened. Mike rushed out later to tell Fi of her enormous destruction which killed a few security guards. I thought she didn’t calculate it right but then the mouth-opening twist happened. The hostage was actually the culprit. Turns out he planned it months before. More importantly he burned Michael Westen! Going back 3 seasons, he’s been there all along and was the first to think off the idea (well, him and management). The hostage turned into the largest enemy. Despite Michael’s urge to kill him immediately, he warned Michael of tougher consequences. Now Mike has to work for the man who burned him. Who knows what he has planned!!

Season 5 returns November for all new episodes continuing the madness involved in Michael’s life. Tune into the USA Network and Burn Notice Fanatic for more updates on the show.
